What is FBLA?
FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America. FBLA is designed to help high school students become prepared for careers in business and business-related fields.

Each year, members vote for who they would like to represent their chapter. This 2007-2008 year the following are officers of the Coffee County FBLA Chapter:
President- Amy George
Vice President- Amelia Gunn
Secretary- Kristen Layne
Treasurer- Jasmine Kelley
Reporter- Jamie Brandon
Historian- Kayla Anderson

Parliamentarian- Trisha Spears
State Officers
Every member of FBLA also has an oppurtunity to run for a state office in FBLA. This year, two of our members ran and both were elected onto the state commitee.
Amy George was elected State Vice President of FBLA, and Ashley Henley was elected Region 6 President.
Competitive Events
FBLA's National Awards Program recognizes and rewards excellence in a wide range of business and career-related areas. Through regional and state competitions at the Regional Conferences and the Spring State Leadership Conference, students compete in events testing their business knowledge and skills. Top regional winners are then eligible to compete at the state level and compete against other top winners from other counties. Then, the top state winners are then eligible to competer at the National Leadership Conference which will be in Atlanta, GA this year.
Coffee County has been one of the biggest business chapters in the state of TN in the past years. This year they are still one of those chapters. They have competed in numerous competitions and have had many members make it all the way to the National level.
